Gigacon 2015

Just spent this weekend having an art stand at Gigacon 2015. Gigacon is sort of a Lan-party convention, so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect having an art stand there. But luckily for me, people did leave their computers once in a while to check out what else was going on 🙂

I have never been so sleepy as I was on this convention, but I only have myself to blame for that. I completely miscalculated the amount of time it would take for me to finish one of the poster I wanted to sell, so I ended up pulling two all nighters right before Gigacon started. But luckily I did manage to complete it on time.

I just realised I haven’t posted my minecraft poster on this blog, so here it is:

DRAWLLOWEEN PART 6

It is finally the 31st of October! Here are the last of the Drawlloween illustrations.

Day 26 Candy

I have actually never tasted candy corn… Is it good?

Day 27 Mask

The scariest mask of them all!

Day 28 Moon

I drew a Moonster :p

Day 29 Creature from the Black Lagoon

Not sure what to say about this one…

Day 30 Black Cat

I made a speed-drawing video of this illustration that you can view here:

Day 31 Skeleton

And to wrap things up, I drew Skeletor wishing everyone a HAPPY HALLOWEEN! 😀

DRAWLLOWEEN PART 5

Yet again it is time for another batch of Drawlloween drawings! Here are the drawings from 21st – 25th of October.

Day 21 Demon

I think this guy ended up looking sort of cute.

Day 22 Witch

At least she’s got nice legs 😉

Day 23 Mummy

I love the Frankenweenie movie, and eventhough he only graced the screen for a few seconds, Colossus ended up being my favourite mummy of all time.

Day 24 Ghost

It is thoughts like this that keep me up at night….. :p

Day 25 Pumpkin

She is the sexiest of all the pumpkins!

In other news, I ended up putting up a stand at Desucon – Cosplay & Japan yesterday. It was not planned, so the merchandise I brought was sort of limited. But I did manage to sell a few thing and have a great time! Forgot to take pictures though…. Need to get better at that 😛

Something wicked this way comes

I guess it is about time that I upload my contribution to The Greatest Show on Earth! So here it is. As you might already know, the theme for the show was circuses, freak-shows and fairs from literature. The book I chose was Something wicked this way comes by Ray Bradbury. I Loved the book, and found it really difficult on deciding on what part to illustrate.

After a lot of thought, I ended up with drawing a giant version of the carrousel that would add or take a year of your age for every round you rode with it. Finding it hard to explain this, but I’m pretty sure this makes a lot more sense to those who have read the book… So going with that, I ended up drawing a few of the evil circus people riding it, getting older and younger.

The most fun part with this drawing was drawing the characters. Here are a few of my favorites.

The evil clown with the worlds biggest camel toe.

The bearded lady flashing some hairy legs and the illustrated man-baby.

And here is some of the details on the actual carrousel.

The Greatest Show on Earth was a success and I had a lot of fun! Here is a video from the event by Adam Clague, one of my fellow members from the Drawn Chorus Collective.
