something wicked this way comes

Something wicked this way comes

I guess it is about time that I upload my contribution to The Greatest Show on Earth! So here it is. As you might already know, the theme for the show was circuses, freak-shows and fairs from literature. The book I chose was Something wicked this way comes by Ray Bradbury. I Loved the book, and found it really difficult on deciding on what part to illustrate.

After a lot of thought, I ended up with drawing a giant version of the carrousel that would add or take a year of your age for every round you rode with it. Finding it hard to explain this, but I’m pretty sure this makes a lot more sense to those who have read the book… So going with that, I ended up drawing a few of the evil circus people riding it, getting older and younger.

The most fun part with this drawing was drawing the characters. Here are a few of my favorites.

The evil clown with the worlds biggest camel toe.

The bearded lady flashing some hairy legs and the illustrated man-baby.

And here is some of the details on the actual carrousel.

The Greatest Show on Earth was a success and I had a lot of fun! Here is a video from the event by Adam Clague, one of my fellow members from the Drawn Chorus Collective.

What I have been up to lately

Only one week until the Greatest Show on Earth! And on that occasion, I thought I might show a little of what I have been up to lately

One of the first sketches of my idea based on Something wicked this way comes by Ray Bradbury.

Early sketches of the clown character.

And here is my work in progress. A little piece of it at least 🙂

The final version will be shown at the Greatest Show on Earth!

So if you are in London from the 18th to the 23rd of September, It would be great if you came by. I will be at the show on the 19th of September from 2pm to 7pm If you want to say hi 🙂

PS: After having managed to send me the wrong business cards from the print shop, I have finally received MY business-cards! The first ones I received belonged to some glass blower named Helen… I am really happy with how they turned out though 🙂

Wow… That was a long post.
