Steven Universe poster

Finally finished the Steven universe poster I have been working on.

I’m taking it with me to the Desucon convention next week. Hope to see you there!

Adventure Time Zombies

I’m working on some new merch that I’m gonna sell at the Desucon Fantasy convention. One of those things has been a new zombie poster with the characters from Adventure Time.

Adventure Time is one of my all time favourite cartoons. So it seemed only fitting for me to honour it with drawing the characters as zombies. Eventhough a few of them has already appeared as zombies in the show already 😛

I have also opened an online store where you can buy my other zombie posters. Please take a look 🙂

This poster will also be available there soon.

Competition!

Seeing how I still have a few things left after Desucon last weekend, I thought it would be fun to put on a competition 🙂

All you have to do is like my page Fredrik Eden Illustration on Facebook, and share the competition post on there.

The prize is a Wizard of Oz Zombie poster, a pack of rude postcards, a Zombie Donald key-chain, 5 Zombie Nintendo stickers, and a few temporary tattoos.

A winner will be drawn on the 31st of July.

Good luck! And may the odds be ever in your favor!

Nintendo Zombie Poster

This is the final zombie poster I have made. And it is going to be available to buy at Desucon 9 all weekend 😀

I’m saving one of them for my room though :p

Game of Thrones Zombies

Honestly, I thought it would be longer before I started drawing zombies again…. But then again, they are really fun to draw. This time, I zombiefied the Game of Thrones TV show.

I love the show, and found it hard to only select a few of the characters, so I ended up drawing 43 of them :p

The reason for making this poster (other than that I wanted to) is that I’m gonna have a stand at Desucon 9 from 27th to 29th of June. So If you are going there this year, don’t forget to say hi 😀

Aladdin Play

I recently made a poster for the 40th anniversary summer play in Frogner Park! The play this year is called “Aladdin and the wonderful lamp”. Seeing how Disney’s Aladdin was one of my absolute favorite movies as a kid, and I still watch it every now and then, I was pretty excited to work on this project.

I don’t know much about the play other than that I’m really looking forward to seeing it! The play runs from 18th of June to 20th of July, so If you want to go see it, you can find more information about it here.

Wizard of Oz Zombies

And here is my final zombiefied poster. The wizard of oz. One of the most trippy movies there is! FYI The bloody hand prints on Dorothy’s dress is from a munchkin villager.

I have gotten all the zombie posters printed out and ready, so hopefully I’ll sell a few of them on Saturday at Desucon Fantasy. Wish me luck! I’ll add a few pictures later on with the rest of the stuff I’m gonna sell as well.

Making zombie posters was a lot of fun, and I am sure I will draw more of them in the future. For now however, I think I’m gonna take a little break from zombies. So much else to draw! Like Barbarians 😀 But if you have a movie you desperately want to see zombiefied, let me know in the comments, and I will keep it in mind the next time I draw some zombies 🙂

Star Trek Zombies

Second zombified movie poster is no other than Star Trek! I have put up a few “work in progress” pictures from this on my Facebook page. So if you follow me there, I guess you knew this one was coming :p

Star Trek has taught me that if you want to die, wear a red shirt when traveling to space.

This is a tribute to all those brave redshirts.

Dissertation finally done!

So I was planning on being able to finish loads of work this Easter vacation, including the dissertation. I decided to start with the dissertation first, seeing how the deadline was closer than any of the other projects I have going, and also how the dissertation was the thing I was looking forward to the least.

Since I am fully aware that my spelling is usually full of typos and grammatical errors to severe for word auto-correct to fix, I were really happy When Abigail Moulder in my class said yes to proofread my dissertation. She makes beautiful collages and lino prints that you should check out at

http://abimoulder.blogspot.com/

Part of the dissertation grade is based on presentation, so I decided on making the cover look like some sort of old B-movie horror poster.

Writing essays is one of my least favorite things to do, so I am extremely happy to be done with this!

Feejee Mermaid poster test

My final major project is about fake sideshow freaks, and how they usually never looked anything like the posters that was made of them. Don’t know why, but I have always found that sort of stuff interesting :p One of the freaks I have used is the Feejee mermaid. On the posters it would be shown as a beautiful mermaid, but in real life, it was usually just half a fish and half a monkey stuck together.

This was my first try at the feejee mermaid poster. I am happy with the feejee mermaid’s pose and the composition of the drawing, but I think I will use a different style of drawing for the final version.
